As you know from my other stories about working in radio, I had a blast doing some things like making up characters. One of the characters that people have heard about is the Right Reverend Billy Saul Hargis. Who is not a real person, just one that is made up from many of the evangelical preachers that seemed to go from town to town, pitch a tent and spread the gospel as they knew it.
This type of character was just way too easy to make fun of. And I had one routine that I did most often to introduce the Rev and then add on some funny lines.
So, fast forward to today and there is only one picture that I can find of me in the studio on-air. I am merging that picture with some fancy AI tools to give you what it would look like and sound like when I did this character.
