What Makes Up ME
In my life I have worn many hats. I have also had many roles over the years. Disk Jockey, Policeman, Engineer, Programmer, Entrepreneur, Evil Genius, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Guru, Mentor…just to name some, in no particular order.
When I heard that Sherlock Holmes referred to the place he gathered all his esoteric thoughts and inspirations as his Mind Palace, I thought it to be a very appropriate description of what is in my head. This place is where I share just a few of these things with you. I hope you will find inspiration, challenges, and humor as you peruse the ramblings I post. Comment if you like either openly or in a private e-mail.
All things posted to this site are my personal tastes and thoughts. You may not always agree with what I put here, but this is me, take it or leave it.

People keep asking, and now here are the stories from my book.
I have been working on a book about my life since so many people seem to find my stories interesting and they keep asking for a book.
Originally, I started putting these stories together and had a friend helping me with the project. We also had to ask several governments for permission to openly talk about some of these topics. A few of the stories got immediate approval and a few of them were absolutely turned down due to the sensitive nature of the topic.
The publisher I was working with also didn’t like how long the process was taking, so I decided to self-publish them here. I figured I have the domain and the time, so here we go…

My brother from another mother Gilberto, is an amazing graphic artist and photographer. One day we were out looking over a piece of property I owned in Corsicana, TX and he was along for the ride. He shot the cover picture of me walking through the field getting ready to measure off where I was thinking of building a dream house.
Then he took that picture, did his magic and ta-da the book cover was born.
I still plan to have a real printed version one day.

Topics
How the topics are sorted
Trying to put the stories in chronological order has proven to be a lot tougher than I imagined. So, I am simply putting them in topic order with some stories having links to other stories that tell the tale even further.
Plus, there are topics that some people aren’t as interested in. This allows you to pick the stuff you are interested in first.

And, yes, if you are mentioned in a story and want to be anonymized or removed, ask.
The stories that could be embarrassing to some have been ‘sanitized’ by changing names or dates to protect the guilty. And in some cases I have combined a couple of incidents to prevent being sued for breaking non-disclosure. But the meat of the story is intact.
